Here is the story from the beginning. June 2007, Bought a home in El Paso.

May 2008, One year Temporary Change of Station (TCS) deployment to Korea. That was the first year of separation from my family. Before we left for Korea the chain of command told us that when we got back we would be moving  as a Battalion to Fort Sill OK. While in Korea my wife put the house on the market, hoping that it would sell before we got back from Korea. While in Korea the Economy crashed, thus affecting the sell of the house.

July 2009, I report to Fort Sill with out my family, this is the beginning of our second year apart. House was on the market the entire time. I wrote my congressman to ask for help with the HAP program, I asked for him to see what he could do to help service members that own homes and are for sale and have been negatively affected by the economy and the base realignment program. His response to me was that "the HAP program is a congress approved program and that it would take congress to change it". Um Hello, I am writing my congressman expecting him to may be do his job and bring it up the next time congress is in session.

June 2010, I am now deployed again for another year. House is still on the Market, With all of the time apart my wife and I managed to have our second child. Wife now has our soon to be 4 year old and our 4 month old to take care of. A full time job and trying to sell the house. So by the end of this deployment it will be three years plus of separation.

If any one from the HAP program or Congress reads this, Thank you for all of your help and support. Of course I am being sarcastic. There are military families enduring excessive amounts of time of hardship. Why should our governments care. They get to see their families everyday. If it seems as though I am being disgruntal, its becasue I am. VERY
