7153 MAIN STREET, CLIFTON, VA 20124

Known as “The Canary Cottage,” this Cape Cod home is located in the heart of Clifton and offers the warmth and charm one would expect from an historic home but includes a lot of modern conveniences. If the new front porch doesn’t entice you to relax and watch the world go by, check out the beautiful brick courtyard with fresh landscape and water features. From the courtyard, step into the updated kitchen which boasts new kitchen island, granite countertops, new appliances (including a Wolf stove) and upgraded lighting which complement the existing brick floors, beamed ceilings and brick fireplace with pellet stove insert. Off the kitchen is the dining room which can easily accommodate large family gatherings and holiday parties.

A total of four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms are included in the main house along with a formal living room, dining room, family room, kitchen and bonus room that is currently used as a breakfast nook and separate cozy sitting area with a brick fireplace. Both upper level bedrooms have a connecting bathroom but the master suite showcases a brick fireplace, wide plank hardwood floors and a double door opening out onto a balcony.

The back yard is an entertainers dream with an outdoor kitchen, in-ground heated pool, Jacuzzi, brick paved walkways, new fence and upgraded landscape and lighting.

As a bonus, the detached carriage house not only has a two car garage, but has a completely finished upper level that includes a living room, kitchen with space for table and chairs, bedroom and bathroom.

Additional upgrades to this historic home include new metal roof, new gutters, entire home was painted, new HVAC, updated underground plumbing/heating, new generator, and French drain was installed.
