So, not only is it a brand New Year, but it is the Dawning of a New Decade.
I don't know about you, but January 1, 2000, seems like just a year or so ago to me. I hear myself saying to friends, family, colleagues, and anyone else who will listen "What happened to that decade? It just flew by?" What I am not saying is "I wonder how many more decades I will get?"
Perhaps it is because I was born at the beginning of a decade, but the beginning of each subsequent decade has been especially significant to me. I tend to make my biggest changes at the beginning of decades, and put together my most powerful resolutions.
So, in preparing for yet another decade, or my next 10 trips around the sun, as our niece Melanie so aptly puts it, I've been asking myself some pretty interesting questions. Questions like, "How could I make this My Best Decade Yet?" "How could I take all the seemingly random pieces of the puzzle I call my life, and put them together to make a complete picture?" Taking a page from Jackie, another of our nieces, "What do I want the theme of each year to be?" In other words, I find myself thinking more about really getting out there and leading my life, rather than being in reaction to situations and circumstances.
It is with these thoughts and questions in mind, that we decided to launch this e-zine, Your Best Decade Yet! Since we want to be surrounded by colleagues, friends, family, and clients who may be interested in experiencing their Best Decade Yet, we have included you in this e-zine. Of course, you may always opt out.
The E-zine will come out weekly, each Monday. We will share ideas and inspiration for helping to make this Your Best Decade Yet! We promise to keep it short and sweet. We hope to pick up lots of subscribers along the way who are interested or committed to this ideal. So we will invite you to pass this along to anyone who might enjoy the journey.
We will leave you with a simple, but powerful question. What would it take for this to be Your Best Decade Yet? Give it some thought if you dare!!
We'll see you on-line next Monday! Wishing you all Your Best January Yet!
Cheers! Jeanne
