As the owner of my own rental property, I have found that owning a rental home can be an excellent investment. With the real estate market flat-lining in most towns, a lot of home sellers are turning to the rental market rather than selling their home which in turn is making the rental housing arena regain investment popularity.
Some of the major advantages to owning a rental property include eventual appreciating market values, deductable depreciation, cash flow and a great long-term investment for future retirement. And of course there is ultimately the resale profit.
