Have you ever driven to the commissary to find the parking lot absolutely FULL and think darn this is really going to stink, I‘ve got 2 kids and the hubby in tow and I am never going to make it out of here with my sanity? These were my thoughts exactly the last time I made the trip to the Quantico Commissary. I don’t think I have ever seen so many people grocery shopping. I know we all have to have eat, but how could we all run out of food at the same time ?

We found a place to park, hunted down a cart, and proceeded to enter. Once inside I saw ALL the people filing through the produce section, I got my grapes, I got my banana’s and before I knew it we were back by the potatoes. By the time I was on the second isle I had heard several excuse me’s and received a few smiles as I am telling my kids repeatedly they need to pay attention and stay in our lane of traffic or they are going to get run over.

Soon our cart was over flowing. I realized that we had made it through. Not only had we made it through but I was still sane. The check out lane was moving, everyone was taking turns, there was no pushing, cutting in line, or confusion. It was orderly!!! Then it occurred to me, had Wal-Mart been this busy would the line be moving this fast, would I have made it through with my sanity?? I think not. I love military people!!! I hope your next commissary trip is as enlightening as mine!!
