I didn't realize that Merrifield is selling a limited inventory of annuals and prennials at their new location off of Wellington Road in Gaifnesville, VA. I requested a specific azeala shrub and they easily transported it from their Fairfax location to the new location here in Gainesville. Boy, what luck not having to drive to the Fairfax location! I hear this location in Gainsville will be the largest of all their garden Centers.

More retail coming up in Gainesville, VA. By the end of June Linens and Things should be opened. Next door will be a Sports Authority, Five Below, and World Market. Can't wait for the movie theater that's coming in the Spring of 2009!

Can't wait to have more retail nearby. I also hear that a Safeway and Home Depot will be coming this way- off of 15 across from Sheetz.

Merrifiled is in full Bloom! Looks like this coming friday April 9th is their 39th anniversary. I wonder if they are doing anything special this weekend? The store in Gainesville offers items I've never seen before in the other stores such as wine!

I went by Merrifield the other day and was lucky enough to find the perfect match to some current rhododendrons I have in my front yard. The ones I have in the yard were planted by the previous home owner 10 years ago! I knew it would be a challenge finding the same type of plant, but Merrifield was very helpful and knowledgeable, and I went home satisfied that the new plants would work.
