With high school aged children entering college it's nice to know all the availble scholarship opportunities. Here is one through the military!
Applications are available in Military Commissaries and online (www.militaryscholar.com) for the 2009 Scholarship for Military Children Progaram. Deadline is February 18th. The program awards $1,500 scholarships. At least one scholarship will be awarded at every commissary location. Manufactures, brokers and suppliers that sell groceries in the commissaries fund this program. Applicants who apply must include an essay on: "What would you place inside a time capsule to help people in the next century understand military life today?"
